Silicon Material Price Rose to USD 38.19/kg

As an important upstream raw material in the photovoltaic industry, the silicon material industry has attracted much market attention. Today, China Silicon Industry Branch released the latest transaction price of domestic solar-grade silicon materials in China. The average price of silicon material has risen this week.

In Chinese domestic market, 

• Price range for single crystal re-feeding is 36.93 - 38.83 USD/kg, 

and the average transaction price is 38.14 USD/kg; 

• Price range for single crystal dense material is 36.62 - 38.50 USD/kg, 

and the average transaction price is 37.75 USD/kg; 

• Price range for single crystal cauliflower is 36.15 - 38.19 USD/kg, 

and the average transaction price is 37.33 USD/kg.

The production capacity of several major domestic silicon material manufacturers has been released successively since October 2021. It is expected that the Chinese domestic silicon material production will reach about twice that of last year in 2022. Therefore, it will be a high probability event that the price of silicon material will continue to drop, which will affect the photovoltaic industry. Fluctuations in prices throughout the supply chain play a balancing role.
