The Development of Photovoltaic New Energy in the Czech Republic

According to the analysis of TPA Valuation & Advisory, the installed capacity of newly commissioned photovoltaic power plants in the Czech Republic will increase by 366% year-on-year in 2022, and 33,760 new grid-connected solar power plants will be added, with a total power generation capacity of 288.8 MW. In 2022, the number of licenses and commissioned capacity of photovoltaic power plants will increase the most since 2014. According to the Solar Energy Association, in 2022, a total of 33,000 photovoltaic power stations will be put into operation, with a total power generation capacity of 237.3 megawatts.

It is estimated that new photovoltaic power plants will also increase significantly in 2023, supported by the national recovery plan. However, due to insufficient installed capacity, the growth number is expected to reach its limit soon.
